Mena is a small framed female (60 pounds) with show looks and lines with only slight rear angulation. She is very trustworthy with puppies and even babies and small children. Having purchased her as an adult we were not sure what to expect with "the little ones" but have been more than pleased with her unbelieveable tolerance for puppies sharp teeth and babies hair grabs and sudden movements. She has a very solid nerve and not the least bit skittish. Her obedience is done with enthusiasm. Small and compact Mena is the perfect size "take any where" dog. Friendly to all she meets Mena gets along with everyone human or animal. Bursting with energy, she is still content to lay quietly in whatever room I'm in until it's time for action. Since coming to Crooked Creek she has become quite the enthusiastic swimmer as well. She's a perfect house companion. We're looking forward to agility or tracking training with Mena as training time allows. Mena is an extremely clever girl and amazes us with her "Houdini" acts, opening any door and appearing out of nowhere when we "thought" she was secure! Mena is definitely able to think on her feet and figure things out on her own, yet takes direction extremely well. |
