| Puppies are born and raised in our home underfoot with lots of love and contact with children, cats and adult german shepherds. Around 4 weeks they are ready for the outside world to explore grass, trees, and lots of fresh air. We expose them to all kinds of sounds and sights like cattle, chickens and the creek, weather permitting. Our pups don't go to new homes until at least 8 weeks. Tumbling with their littermates and our other adult GSDs makes for a well adjusted puppy. We temperament test them at 7 weeks and most score around 3 - ideal for a companion home . But even better than a test is the amount of time we spend with the pups, in groups and individually. Some puppies with more drive will excel in working homes such as herding, agility, SAR or sporting dogs. |

| Our dogs are not kennel dogs but are our family companions. We take our dogs to school, parades, and ballgames. They are socialized to be comfortable around people but are still protective of their family and property. Always alert they are loyal friends and we enjoy sharing them with other loving homes. Our dogs exercise by running miles a day. We have 12 acres with woods, a year round creek, rock cliffs and pasture. The entire pack exercises together, often going in for a swim as we paddle down the stream. We feed them a diet of Pro Plan and raw chicken, beef, meaty bones or farm fresh eggs, greens from the garden and they love plucking a variety of fresh berries off the stems when in season. Puppies wean from mom to goat milk, raw meat and Pro Plan. We also use and recommend NUPRO Joint Support formula an all natural supplement. |

. She has nerves of steel and is completely confident surrounded by our other established dogs. She is a large framed bi-color of Czech and old American showline descent. We are very pleased with Xena's temperament and are enjoying watching her mature into a confident young adult. She and Sally have great fun playing tug-o-war and chasing all over the property.
